A man has been arrested in connection with the death of Irish-born Bishop David O'Connell in Los Angeles.
Bishop David O'Connell, originally from Cork, was found dead at his home on Saturday and had suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.
The suspect was detained at his home following an overnight standoff with police and two firearms were also recovered.
Bishop O'Connell was a guiding light for so many, and his legacy will continue to live on.

LA County Sheriff Robert Luna said the suspected gunman was known to Bishop O'Connell.
“The person of interest was identified as Carlos Medina,” he told journalists.
“Medina is the husband of Bishop O’Connell’s housekeeper.”
