Gardaí investigating the murder of Jacqueline McDonagh in Co. Louth yesterday have arrested a 34 year old man.

The mother of three was found dead at her home in the College Manor estate in Dundalk in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A post mortem examination revealed she had been beaten to death.

This evening, investigating officers arrested a 34 year old man in Dublin.

He’s currently being detained at Dundalk Garda Station, under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
