Gardai have arrested a man as part of their investigation into the murders of a mother and daughter in County Kerry.
The bodies of 27 year old Jolanta Lubiene and her 8 year old daughter Enrika were found at their Killorglin home on this day last week.
This morning, a man in his forties was arrested in Kerry on suspicion of withholding information.
He's been taken to Killarney Garda Station, where he's being held under section 30 of the Offences Against State Act, and can be detained for 72 hours.
The last known sighting of Jolanta was on Saturday June 15th, as she made her way back to her home at Langford Downs from a shopping trip.
Sometime between that sighting, and when Gardai were called to the home she shared with her daughter on the following night, both were brutally murdered.
A major Garda investigation was launched, with fingertip searches of the property, and a detailed examination of phone and internet records.
