A man has been arrested in Dublin as part of an Interpol investigation over alleged bribery in Nigeria.
Gardaí attached to the Anti-Bribery & Corruption Unit carried out an operation in south Dublin on Monday morning.
It is part of an international investigation, in cooperation with Interpol and Nigerian authorities, investigating the alleged bribery of Nigerian public officials by Irish nationals.
A man aged in his 70s has been arrested for the offence of conspiracy.
He is being held at a south Dublin Garda station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Officers say investigations are ongoing.
