A man has been arrested after a loaded shotgun was recovered by gardaí from a house in north Dublin today.
The sawn-off shotgun and three rounds of ammunition were seized from the house in Cabra during a planned search by gardaí.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene.
He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Fingals Garda Station where he can be held for up to three days.
The operation was carried out by detectives based at Cabra garda station and members of the Armed Support Unit.
Gardaí says that investigations are ongoing.
