Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in connection with a serious assault on a woman in Donaghmeade three and a half years ago.
Violet Quigley (44) worked as a solicitor for the ESB. She was seriously injured when she was stabbed at her house on Donaghmeade Park on April 8th in 2011.
She lost a huge amount of blood and spent 24 hours on a life support machine before she started to recover.

A man (39) was detained this morning and brought to Coolock garda station for questioning.
He is being held under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
