The man is aged in his 30s and was detained last night.
He is being held at Raheny Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.
Dissident republican activities
He is being questioned over the possession and discharge of firearms at Grange Abbey Drive, Donaghmede in Dublin 13 on September 8th last and over the activities of dissident republicans in the area.
A number of shots were fired as the funeral cortege left the house.
Gardaí were defended from criticism that they failed to move in on the paramilitary-style funeral that took place
The Justice Minister Alan Shatter described the scenes at the funeral as "reprehensible" after the shots were fired.
