A man who was arrested in connection with the shooting of a child in Dublin at the weekend has been released without charge.
The boy (6) was wounded in the neck during the incident, that happened in Ballyfermot on Friday night.
Gardaí detained a man in his mid-thirties on Sunday, reportedly on suspicion of withholding information.
He was questioned at Ballyfermot garda station, and was released late last night. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Yesterday, a parish priest appealed for the person responsible to hand himself in to gardaí - saying it might give the community an opportunity to move on from their terror.
