A man has been arrested over the murder of Bogdan Michalkiawicz in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal last month.

A post mortem examination showed Mr. Michalkiewicz died after he was brutally attacked between the 13th and 15th of May at Westside Apartments on Lower Main Street, Pearse St, in the town.

Gardaí arrested a 37-year-old yesterday - he's being held at Letterkenny Garda station under section 30 Offences Against the State Act.

Mr. Michalkiewicz had been living in Ireland for the last 7 years.

He was last seen outside the apartment complex before lunch on May 13th - his body was found in Apartment 15 on May 15th.

Gardaí had launched a public appeal for information after the incident, setting up an incident room at 074 9167170.
