A man has been arrested in connection with a crash that claimed the life of another man in Co. Tipperary.

A male passenger (28) was killed in the car crash in Clonmel in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The driver (20) was taken to South Tipperary Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

This morning gardai detained the driver for questioning. He is being held at Clonmel garda station.
