A 35-year-old man's been arrested by police investigating the deaths of two people found inside a flat in North Belfast.

The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered at Kinnaird Close at around 1pm today.

It's understood both of the victims were stabbed.

Several nearby homes have been evacuated as part of a major police operation.

The 35 year old man has been arrested as part of the investigation and has been taken to Musgrave police station for questioning.

Police say post mortem examinations will now take place.
