Gardai in Meath are investigating after a man was assaulted in a car hi-jacking incident in Trim.
The victim - a 34-year-old man - was stopped by a fake Garda car at Connell's Cross, in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The man sustained non life-threatening injuries and had a number of his personal items stolen.

He was later taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan for treatment.
