A 52-year-old man is due to appear before a court in Belfast this morning charged with being a member of a proscribed organisation and possession of a firearm.
The man was arrested after a vehicle was stopped and searched in West Belfast yesterday.
Following the arrest, police searched a premises in the Lagmore area of the city and found a “suspected firearm and documentation.”

The man is due to appear in court this morning charged with membership of proscribed organisation, collecting and possessing information likely to be of use to terrorists and possession of a firearm and an imitation firearm.
Speaking yesterday, Detective Inspector Andrew Hamlin from the PSNI Terrorism Investigation Unit appealed for anyone with information relating to dissident republican activity contact police.
