Fora everyone out there who thinks that trawling charity shops isn't worth the effort, here's a man to prove you wrong.
Zach Norris, of Phoenix, Arizona was visiting a Goodwill store when he spotted he something interesting on a shelf.
It was a 1959 Jaeger-LeCoultre diving watch, one of only 900 ever made. Norris immediately knew he had hit the jackpot:
"The centre face dial moved, and when that happened that's when I knew it was real. I didn't even want to give it to her to scan," he said, speaking to KTAR. "I was like, you can scan it in my hand if you want to. I just didn't want to let it go."
He happily paid the price of $6 (€5), and would later sell it on watch collectors site Hodinkee.com for $35,000 (€30,765) with the buyer even throwing in an Omega Speedmaster to boot.
Norris said he will use the money to pay for his wedding, and has already donated some of it back to Goodwill.
