A man has been charged in court accused of charging at Gardaí with a machete.

Officers had been responding to a domestic disturbance call and claim 31-year-old Wesley Kinsella of Bother Glas, Ballyconnell in Cavan assaulted a Garda and damaged a Garda vehicle.

The incident allegedly happened on January 23rd in Dublin 15.

Mr Kinsella has been remanded in custody to appear again on Thursday.
