A man has been charged in connection with a major PSNI data breach last week.
The 50-year-old has been charged with possessing documents likely to be useful to terrorists and possession of articles for use in terrorism.
He is due to appear before Coleraine Magistrates Court tomorrow.
PSNI accidentally published details of every serving officer and employee online last week.
The force had been responding to a Freedom of Information request when it mistakenly published the surname, initial, rank or grade, the location and the departments of all its employees.
Some 1,200 members of PSNI were referred to a new emergency threat assessment group.
The threat level for terrorism in Northern Ireland is considered ‘severe’ by the British Government and officers are concerned the leak has put their safety at risk.
A document containing redacted information of PSNI members was put near Sinn Féin’s office in Belfast.
It included a picture of the party’s policing spokesperson Gerry Kelly and a threatening message.
A 39-year-old man was also detained last week in connection with data breach following a search in Lurgan on Wednesday and has now been released on bail.
