A 39-year-old man has been remanded in custody in Dublin in connection with the death of Brian Hogan in Finglas on Friday.
Mr Hogan, who was also 39, was found with stab wounds at an apartment at Collins Place at around 4pm on Friday.
He died a short time later.
39-year-old Keith Smithers of Barry Close, Finglas was arrested yesterday and taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station, charged with assault causing serious harm.
He made no response when handed the charge.
This morning, he was remanded in custody to Cloverhill Prison.
He will appear again before the courts on Thursday, where a bill application will be made.
A second man was arrested in connection to Mr Hogan’s death but was released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
