A man has been charged in connection with a drugs seizure in Co. Kerry.

The man (28) was detained following the discovery of €25,000 worth of cannabis plants and herb during the search of a premises in St. John's Park, Tralee yesterday afternoon.

He was detained at Tralee garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act and charged with offences in connection with the investigation.

He has since been released, but is due to appear at Tralee District Court tomorrow morning.
