A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault on a heavily pregnant woman in Dublin last month.

The woman, aged in her 30s, suffered a miscarriage following the attack on Dame Street in the early hours of Sunday April 25th.

Gardaí have confirmed that a man, also in his 30s, was arrested in connection with the attack on Tuesday.

He has since been charged and is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
