A man is due in court in Dublin later charged in connection with a number of robberies in the Ballyfermot area of the city in recent weeks.
A number of shops and a pharmacy were targeted over the past month.
On Thursday 12th March, a man armed with a knife threatened staff at a shop on the Ballyfermot Road before fleeing with a sum of cash.
On Monday 23rd March, a man entered a shop on the Ballyfermot Road, and threatened staff with what's thought to have been a screwdriver.
Cash and cigarettes were taken and the man fled the scene on foot.
Cigarettes and cash were also stolen when a man armed with a knife robbed a shop on Sarsfield Road on Thursday 2nd April.
Yesterday, a man entered a pharmacy in Ballyfermot armed with a lump hammer and threatened staff.
He fled the scene with a number of tablets.
Following an operation by detectives in Ballyfermon, a man in his 30s was arrested yesterday.
He's being held at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, and is due to appear before Dublin District Court this morning charged in connection with the robberies.
