A man has been charged in relation to the death of a man in Kildare last Thursday. 

50-year-old Jeffrey Jackson from Cedar Park, Leixlip, was stabbed to death at an apartment in ­Kilcock on Thursday afternoon. 

A man in his 40s was arrested shortly after emergency services arrived on the scene and has been held in Garda custody. 

He is due to appear before a special sitting of Naas District Court at 4pm.
