A man in his 30s has been charged with the murder of Sean McCarthy, who was found dead in a Dublin apartment last weekend.
36-year-old Dean Caffrey was charged at Clontarf Garda Station in the early hours of this morning and appeared before the courts shortly after 11am.
On Saturday, 28-year-old Sean McCarthy from Poppintree near Ballymun was found dead in Dean Caffrey’s apartment, at Beau Cort, Achill Road, Drumcondra.
Mr McCarthy had been reported as missing since Tuesday the second of August.
Today, 36-year-old Dean Caffrey appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice, charged with his murder.
Mr Caffrey made no comment during the short hearing and was remanded on custody.
He’ll appear before Cloverhill District Court next Wednesday, the 17th of August.
