A man has appeared in court, charged with the murder of his wife in Raheny.
46-year-old Anna Mooney was found stabbed to death at her home on Kilbarrack Road in the early hours of yesterday morning.
51-year-old Stephen Mooney of Kilbarrack Road, Raheny was brought before Dublin District Court today.
He made 'no comment' after he was charged with the murder of his wife, Anna Mooney.
Stephen Mooney did not address the court during the short hearing.
Judge Bryan Smyth granted legal aid and recommended the accused receive the appropriate medical attention.
There was no bail application made as the District Court cannot grant bail in a murder charge and requires a High Court application.
Judge Smyth remanded Mr Mooney in continuing custody until next Tuesday in Cloverhill District Court.
