A man is due in court his morning over the seizure of cocaine worth around €1.4m in Drogheda.
Investigators targeting organised crime in County Louth uncovered 20kg of the drug in a car in the Donore Road Industrial Estate on Monday afternoon.
The car was stopped as part of Operation Stratus – which was set up in response to the ongoing gang feud in the area.
A man was arrested at the scene and was taken to Drogheda Garda Station.
Today, Gardaí said a 29-year-old man was due to appear before Dundalk District Court charged in connection with the seizure.
He will be brought before the courts later this morning.

Meanwhile, in follow-up searches in the area later in the day, Gardaí found cannabis worth around €25,000.
Separately, Gardaí working under the same operation uncovered guns and ammunition at a premises in the centre of Drogheda Town.
A man in his 30s was arrested. He is being held at Drogheda Garda Station.
