A man has been killed and a second has been seriously injured after a gun attack at a Dublin restaurant on Christmas Eve.
It happened at around 8pm yesterday evening at Browne's Steakhouse - located on the Main St in Blanchardstown.
Two men were brought to Connolly Hospital and one of them, in his 20s, was pronounced dead with Gardaí unable to confirm the exact nature of his injuries.
A second man in his 40s is being treated for gunshot wounds and is in a serious condition.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has reacted to the incident, which took place in his local constituency.
In a post on X, he's called it 'shocking', adding that he has visited the restaurant 'many times'.
"Full Garda investigation underway," he said.
"My thanks to them and solidarity to staff and customers."
Gardai are appealing for witnesses, and they are investigating if the attack in relation to a gangland feud.
