A man has died after he was attacked in Dublin over the weekend.
At 3am on Sunday, the National Ambulance Service called Gardaí to inform them they were treating a man in his 30s for very serious injuries in an apartment in Lucan, County Dublin.
The victim was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown but passed away from his injuries at 6.30pm that evening.
Gardaí said the man had travelled in a taxi from the Allenton area of Tallaght to an address in Shackleton, Lucan early on Sunday morning.
They have asked road users who were in those two areas at that time to make contact with them if they have any dash cam footage.
Gardaí believe the victim was attacked late on Saturday night or early on Sunday morning.
