A man has died in a single-vehicle collision after his car overturned in Roscommon last night. 

Gardaí were alerted to the incident in Scrine Hill, Scrine, at 2.50am last night 

The driver of the car, a man in his early 20s, died at the scene of the collision after the car he was driving overturned. 

A postmortem will take place in due course.   

The scene of the collision is currently preserved for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. 

The road remains closed and local diversions are in place. 

Roscommon Gardaí have urged anyone travelling in Scrine between 2.30am and 3am last night and may have footage to come forward.
