Gardaí are investigating the death of a man (28) after he fell from a height at a Sligo hotel overnight.

It is believed the man was from Meath, and was outside trying to get into the Sligo City Hotel at around 1:45am this morning when he fell.

He was taken to Sligo Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2am.

A woman was also injured in the incident.
