Gardaí in Limerick are awaiting the arrival of the State Pathologist this afternoon.
They hope that a preliminary post-mortem will shed light on the death of a man on a country road early this morning.
It's believed the 31-year-old died after falling from a car on the N69 at around 1am near Kildimo.

After his fall, the victim was reportedly struck by a second vehicle.
An appeal has been made to help find the car he fell from, after it left the scene in the dark.
The public is being asked to look out for a 99 WH registered light blue car, possibly a Toyota Avensis or a BMW.
