A man in his 60s has died following a three car road traffic collision in Ballinasloe, Galway on Sunday evening. 

The incident took place at around 6.30 at the Ashtree Junction and one of the drivers was then taken to Portiuncula University Hospital where he passed away. 

No one else was injured and Gardaí have requested the services of the Forensic Collision Investigators. 

They are also appealing for any witnesses to contact Ballinasloe Garda Station on 090 9631890, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
