A man has died after he was attacked in Clonsilla, Dublin on Sunday.
The deceased, who was in his 40s, was assaulted at the entrance to a car park on Clonsilla Road just after 11pm.
He was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he passed away last night.
Gardaí have appointed a Family Liaison Officer to support his relatives.
A man in his 20s was arrested and appeared before Blanchardstown District Court on Tuesday.
Anyone who witnessed the attack on Sunday night has been asked to contact Gardaí.
They are especially keen to talk to an off duty professional who provided medical treatment at the scene.
