A man has died after a car crash in Wicklow yesterday morning. 

At 8.35am, Gardaí and emergency services arrived at the scene of the two-car crash on the R753 between Ballinaclash and Aughrim. 

There they found the driver of one car had been seriously injured in the crash and he was taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital Dublin; he has since died from his injuries. 

A passenger in a second car, a young girl, was taken to Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin as a precautionary measure. 

Gardaí have asked for any witnesses to contact them and they are especially keen to talk to anyone with any dash cam footage.
