A man who was in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked in Dublin has died.
He was found with serious injuries in Tallaght over the weekend.
The 34 year-old man, who's been named as Vincent Parsons from Clondalkin, was discovered with a number of serious head injuries by passers-by in the Killinarden estate late on Saturday night.
He was attacked in the area of a nearby pub where he'd been socialising.
He was rushed to Tallaght Hospital by gardaí, where he was pronounced dead this evening.
The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem examination is to be carried out.
Gardaí are appealing for information and are particularly asking those who were in the area of a pub in Killinarden between 10pm and 11 pm Saturday to come forward.
