A man has died following a collision in Dublin.
The incident involving two cars happened at Grand Parade yesterday shortly before 6pm.
The driver of one of the cars involved, a man aged in his late 60s, was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel.
He was taken by ambulance to St Vincent's University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the second car did not require immediate medical treatment.
The Coroner has been notified and a post mortem examination will be arranged which will determine the course of the investigation.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who were travelling in the Grand Parade area at the time and may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
