A man has died following a crash on the N22 in Kerry earlier today.
Shortly after 7am, Gardaí, local fire and emergency services responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a car on the N22 an Islandmore in Killarney.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A formal investigation is pending, and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are examining the scene.
The road at the crash site is closed, with traffic diversions in place.
The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be conducted.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, particularly those with camera footage, to come forward.
