A pedestrian has died after being hit by a van in Co Kerry.
It happened at around 8:15pm on Saturday evening.
The man in his 40s died following the incident on a minor road near the village of Causeway.
His body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Kerry, where a post mortem exam is due to be carried out.
The driver of the van, a man in his 50s, was not injured in the incident.
The scene of the crash has been sealed off for a forensic examination.
