A man in his 20s has died after a road crash on the N3 at Drumcrauve in County Cavan. 

The crash took place at 3am this morning when a truck and a car collided. 

A female driver, also in her 20s, was taken to Cavan General Hospital, where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. 

The road remains shut while an inspection is carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. 

Garda have asked any witnesses to come forward - particularly those with dash cam footage.
