A man (46) has been killed in a collision in Kells in Co Meath.

He died when the van he was driving collided with a lorry at Johnsbrook on the N52 at 10:30am this morning.

He was pronounced dead at scene.

Another man (66) who was driving the lorry was taken to Navan Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The road is currently closed for a forensic investigation to be carried out. Motorists are being advised that diversions are in place.

Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
