A man has died in a car crash in County Offaly. 

Just after midday today, Gardaí were called out to a single vehicle crash at Killaderry, close to the town of Daingean. 

Only one person was in the car, a man in his 50s, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The road at Killaderry was examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since been reopened. 

Gardaí have asked any witnesses to contact Tullamore Garda Station.
