A man has died after a single-car crash in south Dublin.

The man (23) died after his car hit a pole on the M11 at Loughlinstown at around 9am this morning.

He was brought to St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardaí in Shankill are appealing for witnesses.
