A man in his 60s has died in a suspected assault in Malahide, County Dublin.
Gardaí attended a residence in Malahide at around 8.30am where the man was found unresponsive.
He was declared dead at the scene.
A man in his late 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently being held at a Garda station in the Dublin area.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified, and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
The scene is preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.
Investigations are ongoing and Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
