A man has died following a two vehicle crash in Kilsheelan, County Tipperary this afternoon.
The man was in his 40s and pronounced dead shortly after the crash; his body has been taken to the mortuary at Tipperary University Hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle, a woman in her 40s, is being treated for serious injuries at University Hospital Waterford.
The Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are carrying out an inspection of the crash scene and any witnesses have been asked to contact Clonmel Garda Station.
The N24 (Clonmel to Carrick-on-Suir road) around Kilsheelan remains closed.
