A man in his 50s has died after a single vehicle collision in Co. Waterford.

It happened at about 8:45am this morning near Lismore.

Gardaí at Dungarvan are investigating the incident.

The car the man was driving collided with a wall and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Appeal for witnesses

His body has been removed to Waterford Regional Hospital.

The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since re-opened.
