A man has died after his car hit another car in Co Waterford.
It happened on the N25 at Carrolls Crossing in Tramore at around 3.30pm on Tuesday afternoon.
A man aged in his 70s was pronounced dead at scene.
His body has been moved to the mortuary in Waterford University Hospital, where a post-mortem is expected to take place.
The driver in the second car, a man aged in his 20s, received serious but non life-threatening injuries.
He was airlifted to Cork University Hospital. A passenger in his car was uninjured.
A technical and forensic examination of the scene has been taking place.
Diversions were in place and traffic from Dungarvan/Waterford, using the N25, was advised to divert via Portlaw/Kilmacthomas.
