A man has died after a single vehicle road crash in Co Wicklow.

Gardaí are investigating the incident that happened at Vale Road in Arklow at around 9.40pm on Monday night.

The 19-year-old man died when the car he was a front seat passenger in stuck a ditch.

The 18-year-old driver of the car was injured but not hospitalised.

This stretch of road has been closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
