A man is due in court in the North later after a drugs seizure near Newtownabbey in Co Antrim.

A car was stopped and searched on the M2 motorway yesterday afternoon and a quantity of suspected class A drugs were seized.

A man (55) was detained and is due in Coleraine Magistrates Court later today.

He has been charged with possession of a class A controlled drug, and possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply.
