A man is due in court today in connection with a number of incidents in Carlow last night.

Four Gardaí were injured when a vehicle failed to stop and hit several patrol cars shortly after 9pm.

The alleged driver, a man in his 20s, was arrested and brought to a Garda Station in Carlow, while his passengers were not injured.

The arrested man is due to appear before a special sitting of Waterford District Court this hour.
