A man in his 40s is due in court today, charged in connection with a Garda JCB pursuit in the Carlow area earlier this week.

Yesterday, he was charged with several offences, which happened while he allegedly drove the digger in a cross-country chase on Wednesday.

He is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
