A man is due in court in Carlow this morning after detectives uncovered a gun believed to have been taken during a burglary.
The discovery was made on Thursday morning when Gardaí and Revenue officers joined forces to carry out a planned raid on a property in the Graiguecullen area of Carlow.
There they also uncovered around €20,000 worth of the drug Pentedrone, which is a psychoactive stimulant, previously found in so-called 'legal highs.'
A 49-year-old man was arrested at scene. He is expected to appear at Carlow District Court at around half nine this morning.
