/> A man is due in court in Dublin this morning in connection with a 2.28 million euro tiger kidnapping in the city seven years ago.
A securicor worker and his family were falsely imprisoned in their home in Raheny in March 2005.
The 49-year-old man was arrested in Amsterdam yesterday.
The suspect was arrested in Amsterdam on foot of a European Arrest Warrant, and flown to Dublin Airport.
He was then taken to Raheny Garda station where he was charged in connection with the false imprisonment of a family on the 13th and 14th of March, 2005.
At that time, a cash-in-transit van driver from Ashcroft in Raheny was forced to collect 2.28 million euro in cash and drop it off at a pub in Lucan.
Meanwhile, his wife and two sons were abducted, tied up and left in woods in County Wicklow overnight, where they managed to free themselves and raise the alarm.
The man who’s been arrested is due before Dublin District Court tomorrow morning.
